    Russia's UMPO to Use Top System T-FLEX CAD in 2D, 3D Design
    MOSCOW, Russia, December 4, 2006 - Top Systems, a leading provider of parametric design solutions, today announced Ufa Engine Industrial Association, Russia’s largest aircraft engine producer, has standardized on T-FLEX CAD software, Top Systems’ value-based 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) system. The Ufa Engine Industrial Association (the UMPO in Russian) produces aircraft engines, engines for tractors, gas pumping and power units, as well as cutlery and other products.

    Carl Bass: We Don't Need PLM
    During the quarterly conference call with financial analysts, Autodesk ceo Carl Bass stated that PLM is a bust:
    If I were to believe anybody's estimates, it should be about a $20 or $30 billion market by now. And by any estimate, it's probably no more than $1 billion. While I think there is a long-term market for PLM, I think many people are chasing a gold ring that may never show up. The reports [from 2000] had this market painted huge by this time [in 2006]. And we haven't invested nor believed in that vision of where the market is going.

    Autodesk Reports Record Revenues of $457 Million
    SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Nov. 16 - Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) today reported record quarterly revenues of $457 million, an increase of 21 percent over the third quarter of fiscal 2006.

    "Autodesk had a very solid quarter," said Carl Bass, Autodesk president and CEO. "Customers around the world increasingly recognize the innovation and productivity that Autodesk products provide. Customer adoption of Autodesk's industry-leading 3D products is increasing and customer demand for our 2D solutions remains very strong. Revenues from emerging economies increased to 15 percent of total revenue. Long term market trends favor Autodesk and we continue to gain share as we execute our key strategies."

    PTC Reports Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2006 Results
    NEEDHAM, Mass., November 1, 2006 – PTC, today reported revenue of $245.5 million for the fourth quarter ended September 30, 2006, up 26% from the same period last year. For fiscal year 2006, PTC reported total revenue of $854.9 million, up 19% from fiscal year 2005. Total license revenue for the fourth quarter of 2006 was $84.6 million, up 39% from the same period last year. Total license revenue for fiscal year 2006 was $263.5 million, up 26% from fiscal year 2005. The results for the fourth quarter of 2006 reflected continued acceleration in organic revenue growth and the contribution of recently acquired Mathsoft.

    Finmeccanica is permitted to acquire control packet of shares of Russia's major aircraft holding "Sukhoi"
    Vladimir Putin, Russian President, today signed law, which extended opportunities of foreign companies to participate in Russian aircraft industry.

    Before the assignment share fraction of foreign companies in this industry were forbidden to be more than 25%.

    First of all it was done in the interests of Russia's major aircraft holding "Sukhoi", which is developing new civil airplane Sukhoi Superjet100 in collaboration with Finmeccanica, the main Italian and one of the world's leading industrial group operating globally in the aerospace, defence and security sectors.
