PTC Reports Fiscal 2004 Second Quarter Results

PTC reported revenue totaling $164.7 million for the second quarter ended April 3, 2004, compared with $171.0 million for the same period last year. Revenue grew 5% sequentially, from $156.8 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2004.

CIMdata Reports Continuing Solid PLM Market Growth

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, March 31, 2004-According to figures released from consulting and research firm CIMdata, Inc., the worldwide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) market achieved overall growth of 4% during an economically tough 2003. CIMdata forecasts overall PLM investments will continue growing at a solid pace over the next five years to exceed $20 billion by 2008, for a compound growth rate of 7.5%.

Hyundai Motors Selects PTC Windchill^® For Its Drive and Power Train Business

Needham, MA, March 15, 2004 - PTC^® (Nasdaq: PMTC) today announced that Hyundai Motor Company, the largest Automotive manufacturer in Korea, has selected PTC as a PLM solution provider for the Power Train Business Division. Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners and Warburg Pincus Private Equity Group To Acquire UGS PLM Solutions From EDS For $2.05 Billion In Cash

PLANO, Texas - A private equity group of Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners and Warburg Pincus today announced it has reached a definitive agreement with EDS to purchase UGS PLM Solutions, EDS' product lifecycle management subsidiary, for $2.05 billion in cash. The transaction, in which each private equity firm is an equal investor, represents the largest private equity investment ever made in a technology company.

Industrial output in Novosibirsk region grew 9% in 2003

Novosibirsk regional committee of state statictics reported economical and social indicators of Novosibirsk region in 2003. Industrial output grew 9% -- 2% greater than the average growth of Russia. Leading industrial areas in Novosibirsk are food industry (24.5% of the total regional product and service output), engineering and metal-working (22.2%) and power industry (16,6%).
