PTC Reports Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2005 Results; Company Focus on Customer Success Fuels Revenue Growth

PTC reported revenue of $176.1 million for the second fiscal quarter ended April 2, 2005, up 7% from $164.7 million for the same period last year. The growth was driven primarily by strength in sales of PTC's collaboration and control solutions, as well as consulting services offerings.

UGS Helps AutoDesk Customers Evolve to 3D with Solid Edge Version 17

UGS announced details of how new functionality built into Version 17 of Solid Edge(R) software, UGS' value-based 3D computer-aided design (CAD) system for the mainstream PLM market would specifically benefit AutoDesk(R) customers looking to move to 3D with Solid Edge. UGS expects the new release to begin shipping in April.

LEDAS Launches New Version 1.2 of Two-dimensional Geometric Solver LGS 2D

Ledas announced the release of two-dimensional geometric computational engine LGS 2D version 1.2, which is the update to the previous version LGS 2D 1.1. The new version of geometrical solver marks the logical conclusion of a series of functionality enhancements, fixed bugs, and improvements to individual components. LEDAS developers have fully implemented all of the planned version 1.2 features that support maintenance and modification of models by means of geometric and engineering constraints. In parallel with that, the LGS team is already working on version 1.3. The specifications for the functionality and performance of the new version are based on the requirements of the market and have been compiled during the work on the release of version 1.2.

ASCON comes to CeBIT 2005. The company presents the version LOODSMAN:PLM 7.1

On 10 March, 2005, ASCON group of companies will present its solutions in the international information technologies and telecommunications exhibition CeBIT 2005. The exhibition will take place from 10 to 16 March, 2005, in Hannover, Germany. The centerpiece of the ASCON stand will be LOODSMAN:PLM engineering data and lifecycle control system.

UGS Signs New Cooperation Agreement with Mentor Graphics to Streamline "Mechatronics" – the Electro-Mechanical Product Development Process

PLANO, Texas – UGS, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced the signing of a joint cooperation agreement with Mentor Graphics’ Integrated Electrical Systems Division (IESD) to deliver tight interoperability between the two companies’ software solutions. The agreement will result in a joint solution designed to significantly enhance the development and lifecycle management process for manufactured products employing electro-mechanical or "mechatronic" subsystems – a broad and growing segment of the market that includes household appliances, cell phones, personal computers, automobiles, aircraft, industrial machinery, medical equipment and satellites.
