PTC To Acquire Leading Enterprise Publishing Company Arbortext For $190 Million
NEEDHAM, Mass. – July 6, 2005 – PTC today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Arbortext, Inc., a recognized leader in the emerging Dynamic Enterprise Publishing market, for $190 million in cash. Arbortext serves 1,700 customers worldwide in multiple industries, including discrete manufacturing, life sciences, financial services, insurance, publishing and government. CIMdata Names 2004 CAM Software Market Leaders
In its annual NC software market update, consulting and research firm CIMdata, recently named UGS, IBM/Dassault Systems, CNC Software and SolidCAM as the 2004 worldwide CAM software market leaders. This is the same grouping of companies that were named for 2003 and they are also projected to be the leaders for 2005. Each was a leader in a different ranking used by CIMdata to position NC software vendors

New ANTONOV Aircraft Takes Flight
Paris Air Show, LeBourget, France – June 13, 2005 - PTC today announced that the Ukrainian-based ANTONOV Aeronautical Scientific/Technical Complex has successfully launched its newest aircraft using PTC's solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM). The AN-148 regional jet is the first aircraft in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and among the first in the world, designed completely by means of digital technologies. The design was developed completely in a PTC software environment with more than 300 ANTONOV engineers using PTC's CADDS(R) 5i for digital design, Windchill(R) for product data management, and Pro/MECHANICA(R) for mechanical analysis. PTC's VAR partner Productive Technology Systems (PTS Ltd.) was responsible for consulting and implementation and equipped ANTONOV with a well developed information environment and standardized tools.

Dassault Systemes and IBM Announce Version 5 Release 15 of their Product Lifecycle Management Portfolio
Paris, France – May 24, 2005 – Dassault Systemes and IBM today announced the release of Version 5 Release 15 (V5R15) of their product lifecycle management (PLM) portfolio, comprised of CATIA for collaborative product development, and ENOVIA and SMARTEAM for product data and life cycle management, collaboration, and decision support. Concurrently, Dassault Systemes announced V5R15 of DELMIA for digital development of factory and production processes.

Dassault Systemes to Acquire ABAQUS Inc. to Create Next-Generation Solutions for 3D Realistic Simulation
Paris, France, and Providence, RI, May 17, 2005 – Dassault Systemes today announced an agreement to acquire ABAQUS Inc. in an all-cash transaction approximating $413 million, subject to certain adjustments at closing. ABAQUS is the established leader in nonlinear finite element analysis software. DS expects the planned acquisition to be immediately accretive to net income, excluding acquisition costs and the impact of deferred revenue accounting treatment. DS is also unveiling SIMULIA, a scientific, open platform that will enable the integration of all types of simulation applications.

UGS Reports First Quarter 2005 Revenue of US$252.6 Million
PLANO, Texas – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005. The company signed 22 enterprise contracts, which defined as contracts with total contract value of more than US$1 million each – nearly doubling the number of enterprise contracts signed during the same period a year earlier – driving 38.4 percent total revenue growth in cPDM and enabling UGS to expand its market share lead in this high-growth segment of the PLM industry.
