PTC Reports Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2006 Results

NEEDHAM, Mass., November 1, 2006 – PTC, today reported revenue of $245.5 million for the fourth quarter ended September 30, 2006, up 26% from the same period last year. For fiscal year 2006, PTC reported total revenue of $854.9 million, up 19% from fiscal year 2005. Total license revenue for the fourth quarter of 2006 was $84.6 million, up 39% from the same period last year. Total license revenue for fiscal year 2006 was $263.5 million, up 26% from fiscal year 2005. The results for the fourth quarter of 2006 reflected continued acceleration in organic revenue growth and the contribution of recently acquired Mathsoft.

Dassault Systemes soars with fast-growing Chinese Aviation Industry

Finmeccanica is permitted to acquire control packet of shares of Russia's major aircraft holding "Sukhoi"

Vladimir Putin, Russian President, today signed law, which extended opportunities of foreign companies to participate in Russian aircraft industry.

Before the assignment share fraction of foreign companies in this industry were forbidden to be more than 25%.

First of all it was done in the interests of Russia's major aircraft holding "Sukhoi", which is developing new civil airplane Sukhoi Superjet100 in collaboration with Finmeccanica, the main Italian and one of the world's leading industrial group operating globally in the aerospace, defence and security sectors.

SU-34 in the air!

Sukhoi Company (JSC), a Russia's major aircraft holding company, today announces that the first serial fighter-bomber Su-34 has taken off from the airdrome of the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association (NAPO). It was built for Russian Air Force in the framework of a government contractual work.

During its 75 years history NAPO has manufactured dozens of thousands of military aircraft designed by famous aircraft designers Polikarpov, Yakovlev, Mikoyan and Gurevitch, Antonov, Sukhoi. The company assures support of aircraft within all their life cycle, including spare parts supply, repair and modernization, training of flight and engineering personnel. It is also one of the major manufacturers involved in RRJ aircraft program.

NAPO is actively applying PLM solutions to support the aircrafts life cycles. Its representatives gave technical talks on the application of PLM for aircraft industry on isicad-2004 and isicad-2006 PLM forums organized in Novosibirsk by LEDAS Ltd.

CIMdata Releases its 2006 PLM Market Analysis Report: Comprehensive Information and Analysis of the PLM Market

Consulting and research firm CIMdata announces the availability of its annual Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Market Analysis Report. The 2006 report provides the most complete analysis of the 2005 PLM market available, with special emphasis on the collaborative Product Definition management (cPDm) segment of that market.

Regarding the PLM market performance, Mr. Amann said, “Our research shows that the overall PLM grew 8.8% to reach $18.1 billion in 2005. This growth rate exceeded earlier estimates, with the boost attributed to continued strengthening of the global economy and an increased recognition of the value of PLM in improving companies' business performance.
